I am really glad you’ve accepted my interview. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
Thank you for asking me!
Can you tell us a bit more about how you became a writer?
I have always written, ever since I was a little girl. The stories just got longer and longer until one day I was writing full length books. But I was always too shy to show anyone my work so for years I just wrote and put the manuscripts under my bed. It took a long time for me to find the confidence to share my books with someone else.
Is there a book you would never read? Why?
Not a specific book, but I don’t enjoy books that have graphic violence and torture, particularly sexual violence. And I find it really hard to read books where horrible things happen to children.
EBooks or paper print?
Definitely print – I will read ebooks if I have to, but I don’t enjoy the experience as much!
The best decision of your life was? Professionally – deciding to write In a Dark Dark Wood. Personally – meeting my husband (though I’m not sure if that was a decision exactly – more a fortunate coincidence!)
I can’t wait to read your next book. Are you currently working on a project? Is there any release date to reveal?
Yes, I’m working on book four. In English it will be called The Death of Mrs Westaway and it will be coming out summer 2018.
