I am really glad you’ve accepted my interview. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

Can you tell us a bit more about how you became a writer?
I worked as a journalist for almost twenty years before I decided to try to write a novel. I was a bit tired of always writing about news and facts and wanted to use my imagination. But it was difficult to find time to write the book since I continued to work full time as a journalist. It took me almost two and a half year to finish the novel.

Was it difficult for the first book to find a publisher?
Very difficult! First I tried with all the big and well known Publishing Houses in Sweden, but they all said no. At the end I found a small Publishing House that said yes to my script. Once it got published it was easier to find a good publishing house for book number 2.

Could you describe literature in three words?
Fantasy, creativity, exploring

Is there a book you would never read? Why?
A book about finance and economy. I love words but I hate figures!

What’s your favorite book?
I have two: ”About a boy” by Nick Hornby and ”Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Favorite quote?
”Anything worth dying for is certainly worth living for”
Joseph Heller in Catch 22

EBooks or paper print?
Paper print!

What inspires you?
People I meet and travels.

Imagine you were given the opportunity to meet a book character in real life. Who would that be?
Pippi Longstocking (by Astrid Lindgren)

Please explain.
She has such a free mind and spirit and such a warm heart. I would love to go out on adventures with her!

What’s your worst nightmare?
To be stuck somewhere or forget my luggage before a travel so I miss the train or flight. I dream that very often!

The best decision of your life was?
When I decided to move out from the city (Malmö) to live on the countryside ( in the small village Rörum at the east coast of Southern Sweden) . It was three years ago.

I can’t wait to read your next book. Are you currently working on a project? Is there any release date to reveal?
My last novel ”Den sorglöse hemsamariten” (The Careless Caretaker) was published in Sweden recently but has not been sold yet to any other country. Ny third book about Goran and Yogi will soon be published in german and at the moment I am writing on a new story about an old man and a young girl helping each other to coop with their sad memories. (Its actually ment to be a feel good-novel!)
