Interview mam Robin Roe

Can you tell us a bit more about how you became a writer?
I started writing when I was seven years old, and I dreamed of becoming a published author, but it seemed like a fantasy profession—not something I could actually do in real life. I wrote for many years, never sharing my work with anyone, but then I decided I had to at least try to see if my work could be published, so I sent out A List of Cages to a few agents.

Was it difficult for the first book to find a publisher?
I got really lucky in this regard. I was so terrified to send my work out, but once I did, things moved very quickly

Is there a book you would never read? Why?
Just in the interest of time, I tend to only read things I’m interested in reading, but I can’t imagine ever ruling a book out.

What’s your favorite book?
One of my favorite books is a memoir called Finding Fish by Antwone Fisher.

EBooks or paper print?
Definitely paper!

What inspires you?
Stories of resilience like Antwone Fisher’s inspire me every day.

The best decision of your life was?
That’s a hard one, because I think we only really know this in retrospect.

I can’t wait to read your next book. Are you currently working on a project? Is
there any release date to reveal?
Yes, I’m working on a new novel as we speak. I don’t have a release date just yet, but I can say that I’m almost finished, and I’m getting excited for people to read
